The benefits of circumambulating the Stupas
In reply to Ven. Shariputra, Buddha explained the benefits of circumambulating the Stupas: “Free from the eight adverse conditions, one will take rebirth in a noble and wealthy family; free from disturbing emotions, one will make generosity his/her heart practice, one will have an attractive body and beautiful complexion, other people will be happy to see him/her, one will have great power and will become a Dharma King; One will be reborn as a fortunate being, full of enthusiasm for the teachings of the Buddha – once he becomes a yogi he will perform great miracles and gradually obtain the 32 marks of complete purity and 80 secondary marks of the body of a Buddha.”
The power of Buddha Nampar Gyalma’s mantra
The Stupa in Arsio hosts a statue of Buddha Nampar Gyalma, whose mantra is extremely powerful. It is a mantra that has the power to protect our universe and our nature from pollution, to purify sentient beings from their negative karma and contaminations, and to free us from rebirth in the lower realms. If one generates strong faith, the mantra will protect you from the wrong paths and negative astrological influences, and will guarantee you long and healthy life. This mantra represents the essence of all the Buddhas of the four tantric classes. Any being who comes in contact with this mantra is blessed by its beneficial powers.
